Alta International works with organisations, families and private households to put in place the structures, policies and support they need, designed around how people actually work and live together, and built to hold over time.
About
Most of the people we work with are at a moment of change. An organisation has grown, a family is going through a transition, a household has outgrown the way it has always been run.
They are capable and committed. What is often missing is a structure that captures how things work, protects what matters and keeps functioning when people move on.
Before we design anything, we work closely with the people involved to understand how things actually happen: how decisions are made, how work gets done and where the gaps are. The result is something people recognise as their own, and use.
What we do
Organisations
Governance frameworks, organisational structure, HR frameworks, safeguarding policies and compliance. We support implementation too: embedding policies, training staff and acting as an independent reference point on complex people matters.
Families, households and education
We work with families and private households on the practical structures behind everyday life and shared responsibility: who does what, how information is kept and found, how decisions and costs are tracked, and how things are handed on when people or circumstances change. We also advise students and families on university admissions in the UK, the Netherlands, Spain and the rest of Europe, from first exploration to the final decision.
Systemic practice
Some of the most important dynamics in organisations and families are not visible in structures or policies: the loyalties, tensions and unspoken patterns that shape decisions. We work with leaders, founders and families who want to look at what is not immediately visible, and use constellations as one of the methods for doing so.

Embed, not just deliver
Good structure needs to be lived in. We support implementation, train staff and stay available as things bed in, so the work sticks.
